Joan Kaster, 86, Green Bay, passed away October 5, 2021, with her children by her side. Born March 8 1935, she is the daughter of the late Larry and Sally Steffes. She was raised in Granville, Iowa and moved to Green Bay in 1961. Joan married John Kaster in 1956 in Granville, IA. She worked as a telephone operator as well as worked at a variety of careers in her life. She enjoyed Danny O'Donnell, Glen Campbell, and Lawrence Welk. Her favorite activities were going to the zoo, her Sunday drives with Bryan, and going to the fair. Some of her special memories were times spent with grandchildren at family celebrations. One of her best traits was the ability to live in the moment.
She is survived by her three children, Jeff (Sandy) Kaster, Bryan Kaster, Sharla (Tim) Jahnke; six grandchildren, Erin (Jeff) DeGuelle, Nate, Matt, Tori Kaster, Jake (Marie) Jahnke, Eric (Julie) Jahnke, three great grandsons and a great granddaughter on the way, Nicholas and Nora Jahnke, Jude and Jameson Jahnke. Blessed with a large family she is survived by numerous relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John; numerous relatives also preceded her in death.
A graveside memorial will be held at Assumption BVM Cemetery, 305 N St. Augustine Street, Pulaski, WI 54162 October 13,2021, at 1 PM.
