Joaquin "Billy" Guirau, passed away on his 76th Birthday, January 4, 2024. He was born on January 4, 1948, in Puerto Rico, he is the son of Joaquin and Angelita (Rivera) Guirau. In the mid-1960's he moved to the States eventually settling in Green Bay. It is here, that Billy worked at Grandpa Johns where he worked towing vehicles for many years. Due to his health issues, Billy eventually had to retire. Billy was an active member of International Congregation, Green Bay. He will be remembered for his passion of working on cars, fishing, and his enjoyment feeding all the birds at the wildlife sanctuary. Billy was such a kind and giving man, never charging anyone more than he needed to keep his towing service afloat.
Billy is survived by six children, Evelisse Guirau, Joaquin "Junior" Guirau, John Guirau, Marilyn Guirau, Delma "Dermy" Guirau and Billy Roche; 20 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; two sisters; Eudora Guirau and Norma Mangual; Billy's very special friend, Sandy Potthier; special nephews, Luis Leon and his brother, Rocky; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Isabel Guirau; and one grandchild.
