Judy Blazek

Judy Blazek, 77, of Green Bay, Wisconsin passed away peacefully on July 6, 2022. Judy was born in Hickory, Wisconsin on February 4, 1945 to parents Bernard (Bun) and Winnifred (Lois Wood) Gilligan. She attended Hickory Grade School and Suring High School. After leaving school Judy lived with her oldest brother and sister-in-law to help care for her two nephews and her niece whom she fondly talked about the rest of her life. During this time, she started dating and then married Donald (Donny) Blazek in November 1962. Donny and Judy had four children. Judy worked as a waitress at different restaurants for many years in the Kelly Lake and Oconto Falls area. Around 1986, she was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and subsequently had to leave the workforce. Judy’s stubbornness served her well as she was brusquely informed that she should expect to be wheelchair bound by her six-month visit.
