Karin (Pfordt) Wright, 65, was born March 17, 1954, in Eschwege, Germany. She died peacefully February 27, 2020 in Neenah, Wis., surrounded by her LIVESTRONG friends. Karin lived in Eschwege until she was 25, when she moved to Tacoma, Wash. Later, she moved to Chicago, and finally to Menasha, Wis. where she was a huge cheerleader for the Neenah-Menasha YMCA’s LIVESTRONG cancer program. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Neenah, where she belonged to the Knit Together group, helped run the church library, and enjoyed activities with and for children and youth. She loved “Mr. Buttons”, her Maltese dog, knitting, crocheting, butterflies, the color purple, and was proud of her German heritage. She was especially proud of her son, Thomas Pfordt, of Germany.
She was preceded in death by her mother Dorothea Pfordt. She is survived by her son, Thomas Pfordt of Germany, several half-siblings, her LIVESTRONG family, and many friends.
