Katherine L. Gauthier

February 5, 1950 — July 9, 2024

Green Bay, WI

Katherine L. Gauthier, 74, found peace on July 9, 2024. Katherine was born in Green Bay on February 5, 1950, to the late Eldor and Jeanette (Sazama) Buenning.

After graduating from Green Bay East, Katherine earned an Associate Degree and worked many years in Customer Relations roles for A.C. Nielsen and Dean Foods. Katherine never shied away from working hard, often working multiple jobs. Katherine persevered no matter the circumstance.

Katherine had an incredible green thumb and enjoyed spending time gardening and growing flowers. She loved doing this not only for herself, but others. If there was a garden that needed to be planted, she offered her help. If help was needed cutting trees, planting flowers, or painting a house, she was there to help. Katherine had a huge heart for animals, especially dogs. Her dogs, Murphy and Charlie, were her passion. Often, where she went, they went. Not only did Katherine have a huge heart for animals, but she also had a huge heart for those in need, often donating items.

She is survived by her son Patrick (Anissa), her grandchildren Alexis, Jonathan, and Javin, as well as her sisters Mary Buenning, Patricia Trinkner, Kandice Buenning, and brothers Al (Carol) Buenning, Greg (Joan) Buenning, and Jack Buenning. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is proceeded in finding peace by her sister Karen Parson.

Thank you to everyone that touched her life. There are many caregivers that helped Katherine over the years and that is greatly appreciated.
