Kathy Cook, 77, of Appleton, Wisconsin passed away peacefully into the welcoming arms of our Heavenly Father on October 27, 2022. Kathy was born in Green Bay, Wisconsin on October 19, 1945 but was raised in Rhinelander, Wisconsin where she lived most of her life. The mother of two, she loved horses and enjoyed jumping, dressage and trail riding. She rode her own motorcycle and enjoyed many other forms of adventure and travel. She loved working alongside her father at the Hodag Sewing Center in Rhinelander where she ran the fabric department which included a bridal boutique and teaching sewing lessons. She later moved to Appleton with her husband, Dennis, and both were active members of the Appleton Alliance Church. She loved life and cherished time spent with her life-long friends and church family.
Kathy had 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren and is survived by her son, Bryan Oelrich of Oregon; step-son, James Cook of Kansas; and brother, Gary Huigen of Rhinelander.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Cook; daughter, Laurie Oelrich; parents, Glen and Virginia Huigen; brother, Ronald Huigen; and granddaughter, Kaylyn Oelrich.
