Kenneth Hildebrand, Suamico, passed away peacefully after a short illness on May 24, 2016, with Mary Ann close by. Born in Sheboygan in July of 1929, he is the son of the late Gilbert “Bill” and Katherine Hildebrand. Ken was most proud of his service as a U. S. Marine. He often remarked about his platoon being in a movie with John Wayne. Ken worked in sales his entire life, retiring from MBC Foods (Milwaukee Biscuit Co.) in Cookie Sales after being regional sales manager. He felt honored to work for the Dorf family. After retirement, he enjoyed gardening, watching the birds, and the many hours he and Mary Ann spent playing cribbage. Ken enjoyed holidays, especially St. Patrick's Day and Christmas. He made the best angel food candy at Christmas!
Ken will be most sadly mourned by Mary Ann Doyle, his beloved of 36 years. He is also missed and survived by his three children, Rosanne (Ed) Brooks, Dan and Tim Hildebrand; grandchildren Bret (Jill), Taylor (Nancy), and Dana Hildebrand and five great-grandsons. Ken is further survived by nieces, nephews, and Mary Ann's extensive family.
He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Francis, Florence, and Clarence; an infant son; and daughter-in-law, Dee.
Respecting Ken's wishes, there will be no service. Simply Cremation is assisting the family.
"May the road rise to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warmly upon your face.
May the rain fall soft upon your field
And May God hold you in the palm of his Hand
Until we meet again.”
