Kristina Ruth Kallenberg Johnson

Kristina Ruth Kallenberg Johnson, 41, of Appleton, Wisconsin passed away in the evening of August 24, 2023.  Kristina was battling cancer and was surrounded by her family in her final moments.  Beyond her beauty on the outside, she was a woman who was strong, fun loving, totally giving of herself to others and always made you feel welcomed.  She adored her son, Keaton Johnson now age 10, and made his life full of love, phenomenal guidance and was her best traveling companion.

Kristina was born in Cleveland, Wisconsin on December 30, 1981 to parents Kim Kallenberg and Shirley (Schwoerer, Kallenberg) Guenther. She graduated in 2000 from Sheboygan North High School, furthered her education at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh graduating in 2005 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing and in 2010 received her Masters of Science Management from Cardinal Stritch.

Kristina married Sean Johnson on September 24, 2011 and resided in their home in Brown Deer, WI where they started a family on April 23, 2013 with the birth of their son Keaton Nathaniel Johnson.  They then moved to Appleton, WI in December of 2015; however, amicably divorced on July 22, 2022.

Anyone that knew Kristina knows she was very motivated. She spent her entire 18-year professional career at Humana Insurance Company. Where she held many positions from starting in customer service to working her way up to leading a team responsible for product and strategy initiatives. Along the way making lasting relationships and touching the lives of many she had the pleasure of working with.

Kristina is survived by her loving family including her son, Keaton Johnson; her ex-husband Sean Johnson; her father, Kim Kallenberg; her mother, Shirley (Schwoerer, Kallenberg) Guenther her step-father, Robert Guenther; brother, Kyle (Stacy) Kallenberg; step-brother, Christopher (Lindsey) Guenther; step-brother, David Guenther; her nephews, Reilly Sukowaty, Kasen Kallenberg and Paxton Guenther; her nieces, Kelsi Guenther, Avery Guenther and Kaydence Kallenberg.

She is preceded in death by her Golden Retriever, Kooper; grandparents; great grandparents, Aunt Karen (Kallenberg, Petermann) Sobczak; Uncle Bob Blatz; Cousin Jonathan Schwoerer.

The family would like to recognize her unbelievable support team; Tracy (Shawn) Zavrl, Flanagan; Vanessa (Kent) Uhlenbrauck; Kristin (Mike) Nelson; The cancer teams, nurses and staff at:  St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton, WI; St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay, WI; Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN; Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee, WI; Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice in Sheboygan Falls, WI.

Kristina wished to be cremated and her ashes will be distributed at her favorite kayaking spot.  Once scheduled there will be a Celebration of Her Life and all are welcome.
