Kristine M. De Broux died of liver cancer on January 29, 2021 at Odd Fellow Nursing Home in Green Bay. She was born on July 23, 1951, in Saginaw MI, the daughter of Andrew George Bourdow and Betty Jean (Strong) Bourdow.
She graduated from Arthur Hill High School in 1969 and began college at Northern Michigan University in 1970. In 1973 she left school and moved back to Saginaw to care for her ailing mother. After her mothers passing she went back to Marquette where she met her future husband Bill.
In 1977 Kristine and Bill moved to Houston Texas , were married and Kristine gave birth their daughter Adele. It was at this time when she became involved in the Camp Fire Organization and was a group leader in both Houston and De Pere Wisconsin.
After moving to the Green Bay area, she owned and operated a licensed day care out of her home. This fueled her compassion for children so she went back to school and received her nursing degree from NWTC in 1999. As an RN she worked at the CCU at Bellin Hospital, moved into pediatrics, and retired from home health care in 2013.
She is predeceased by her parents. Surviving in addition to her husband, Bill, are her daughter Adele Sundquist (Darren Hanusa and his daughter Addison Hanusa) of Oshkosh, two grandchildren Madeline Sundquist and Tiffany Sundquist also of Oshkosh, one brother Andrew G. Bourdow of Bay City Michigan, one sister Natalie Barrett (Allen), one niece Erin (David) Matthews, one nephew Nathan Barrett (Allison), two great nieces McCall Matthews & Grace Matthews and three great nephews Jack Barrett, Will Barrett and Henry Barrett all from Amarillo Texas.
A funeral mass will be held on Saturday February 6th, 2021 at 11:30 at St. Matthews in Allouez, officiated by Father Bob.
