Leo J. Bloomer, 63, passed away Monday, May 16, 2022, with his daughter at his side.
Born August 13, 1958, in Appleton, he is the son of the late Frank and Dolores (Toonen) Bloomer. He was a graduate of Appleton East and Fox Valley Technical College.
Leo was a simple man who possessed a kind and gentle spirit. He loved to laugh and enjoyed many hobbies including cribbage, foosball, darts, dancing and playing the harmonica. He especially loved going to Brewer games with his brothers and grandson, and spending summer days fishing with his daughter. He was an excellent craftsman who often used his skills to assist family and friends with projects. One of these projects being a playhouse for his great-nieces and nephews, as well as building his daughter a mini "she-shed" mansion.
He is survived by his daughter, Angelina Bloomer; grandson, Braxton Haltinner; four brothers, Joseph, Mike (Mary), Frank (Kathy), and Marty (Jenny); eight sisters, Mary Rose, Ann (Jim) Krueger, Susie Bloomer, Margaret (Nick) Springer, Beth (Dan) Jandourek, Louise Grant, Katie Hass and Barb LuMaye; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents Leo was preceded in death by a niece, Brianna LuMaye; a nephew, Cpl. Jacob LuMaye; and brother-in-law, Duaine Hass.
No funeral services will be held at this time. A Celebration of Life is being planned to be held on Leo’s birthday on August 13, 2022. Details regarding the celebration will be forthcoming.
