Lori Vaughn-Milfred

Lori Renae Vaughn-Milfred, 54, born on July 6, 1968 at West Point Military Academy Hospital,
NY to Larry and Judith (Smith) Lents, passed away at her home in Green Bay, WI, on June 28, 2023
with her family by her side.

She was an Air Force dependent who lived many places in her youth including Okinawa, Japan.
She was confirmed and baptized at the United Church of Christ in O’Fallon, IL and graduated
from O’Fallon High School in 1986. In 1989 she married Scott Vaughn and they had a son Brett.
She remarried in 1999 to Marc Milfred and they had a daughter Ayla, she has one
granddaughter, Autumn Vaughn, who has lived with the Milfreds most of her life.

Lori worked at various jobs notably Cellcom where she made many friends. She became a full
time homemaker after Ayla was born. When her brother’s kidneys failed, she gave him one of
her’s. Lori battled cancer for many years. She was a fighter who never gave up or complained
and was known for her positive attitude. She had a way about her that made those around her
love her for who she was-open-honest-fun to be around. She will be greatly missed by all her
family and numerous friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, John and Murriel Lents and Clare and Eloise
Smith. Surviving are her husband, Marc; children, Brett and Ayla; granddaughter,
Autumn; brother, Mark (Heather) Lents; niece, Elizabeth of St. Louis, MO; parents, Larry and
Judy Lents of Dexter, IA; S-I-L, Tammi Milfred.

There was a Celebration of Life for Lori in Green Bay and her burial will be at a later date in
Iowa. Memorials may be directed to the family.
