Lou Ann Wojta, 80, Green Bay, left us to go to her heavenly home on Sunday, March 20, surrounded by her family. Lou Ann was born during a snowstorm on February 22, 1936 to the late Arthur and Irene LaFave, in Two Rivers, Wisconsin.
Lou Ann worked many jobs during her lifetime. The most gratifying to her were those jobs that involved helping others, especially youth. She was actively involved with the Youth Center and T.R.Y. (Two Rivers Youth). Lou Ann had over 80 foster children.
Lou Ann is survived by her children, Sue (Andrew) Zipperer and their children Ashley and Jacob; Guy (Samantah)Wojta and their children Samantha and Orlandgra. She is further survived by a grandson, Raymond (Maggie Walsingham) Arrozal and his children, Ray Jr. and Ryan; Brother, Roland LaFave and his children. A very special friend, Patricia Coopman also survives her.
As per Lou Ann’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral. A private family gathering will take place at a future date. Interment will be in Two Rivers.
The family would like to thank all of the doctors and nurses at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee, Bellin Hospital, Bellin Cancer Center, and Unity Hospice, especially Justin and Kim, for all of the care and compassion they showed Mom throughout her battle with leukemia.
In lieu of other expressions of sympathy a memorial fund has been established at Simply Cremation, 243 N. Broadway.
