Mae Marie Ramsdell

August 24, 1947 — August 31, 2021

Mae Marie Ramsdell, 74, Gillett, WI, passed away peacefully in her sleep on August 31, 2021. She was surrounded by her husband, loving family and care workers at The Bay Health and Rehabilitation Center in Suring, WI. The daughter of the late Raymond and Eleanore (Paluch) Wennesheimer was born on August 24, 1947. Those close to her would simply say: “She’s one of a kind”.

Survivors include her husband Richard Ramsdell and his family; her three children; Kelly, Gerald and Anthony Grzeskowiak; and four grandchildren Chantel, Kaylee, Madeline and Kasey Grzeskowiak. Mae is also survived by her sister Judith Ann Schevers and nieces Lisa (Fritz) Teich, Lori (Jim) Prediger and Renee Wennesheimer.

She was preceded in death by her parents Raymond and Eleanore (Paluch) Wennesheimer; her brother Raymond Wennesheimer and niece Shannon Wennesheimer.

Mae requested there be no immediate visitation but rather a future celebration of life will be forthcoming.

Family would like to say a special Thank You to St. Vincent Hospital, Bellin Clinic Oconto Falls, Prevea Oncology Oconto Falls, Unity Hospice and The Bay at Suring who provided great care, support and comfort to Mae throughout her journey to fight cancer.

To all who knew and loved her; her life & parting can best be expressed by joining along in the song she would always sing with her beloved sister at the end of every visit:

I’m so glad we had this time together
Just to have a laugh or sing a song.
Seems we just get started, and before you know it
Comes the time we have to say, ‘So long.’
