Shawano

Margaret M. Loberger (Fischer), age 68, of Shawano, passed away peacefully at her home after a courageous battle with cancer, on February 1, 2023. Marge was surrounded by her family as she took her first steps with Jesus, her savior.

Marge was born on January 13, 1955, in Appleton, Wisconsin, the daughter of the late, Frank and Josephine (Bogan) Fischer. On November 26, 1977, Marge was united in marriage to Richard (Dick) Loberger Sr.

Marge enjoyed spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren. She loved everything about her cabins up north, swimming, fishing and hanging out around the campfire signing songs.  Marge was an exceptional cook. If you visited with Marge, she made sure you didn’t leave hungry. Like her mother Christmas was her favorite time of year and she always made a huge celebration of it.

Marge was a resident of Panama City Florida for nearly 30 years, before moving back home to Wisconsin. Marge dedicated her life to those with physical challenges, volunteering for special Olympics and as an aide at Margaret K Lewis School.  Marge and her husband taught a bowling league for handicapped adults and children as well.  She loved all of “her Kids” as she so lovingly called them. If there was one thing she missed when she moved home, it was “her Kids”.

Survivors include her loving husband Dick Loberger of Shawano, Her sons, R.J. (Stephanie), Luke, and Isaac Loberger, Stepsons, Craig (Nancy), Wade (Melissa) Loberger, her grandchildren, Nick, Jason, Kalyn, Isaiah, Isabella, Cheryl, and Daisy Loberger and great granddaughter Brooklyn Loberger.

She is further survived by one sister, Lillian (Paul) Duquaine, 5 brothers, Frank (Tonya), Ervin (Sue), Ed (Deb), Mike (Sue), Gene (Kris) Fischer, 3 sisters in law Barbara (George) Bolwelk, Mary (Bill) Warnecke,  and Joan (Geno) Jarvi and many special nieces and nephews.

Marge was proceeded in death by her parents, Frank and Josephine, her mother and father in-law, Joseph and Victoria Loberger, and a sister-in-law, Cheryl Fischer.

A Celebration of Life is being planned for a later date.

The family would like to thank the staff of Unity Hospice for the excellent care and compassion they shared while they cared for Marge.

In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to assist in funeral costs.
