Marie C, Mcfarland, 73, of Green Bay, Wisconsin passed away in her sleep on December 13, 2022. Her hospitalization didn't affect her attitude any, she insisted on having her way until her dying breath. Those of us who knew her realize that she was a force of nature and loved her for it.
Marie was born in Wisconsin on July 24, 1949 to parents Stephen and Carol Bugalski. She went on to college, eventually using her degree in her many careers.
As Marie wasn't one to settle, she led a varied life. She was an Army Veteran, a chef, and a school teacher. She was also an avid seamstress and craft maker who sold her handiwork and submitted the best of her creations in competitions. If you named it, she could make it. She also was a gardener. In her later years, she also enjoyed estate sales, and palling around with friends and family in general.
Marie is survived by her two sons, Joseph Thorp (Julie) and Matthew Thorp, five grandchildren, and sisters, Stephanie Taiclet, Audrey Taraska (George), Toni Wilm (Charles) and Suzanne Woodward. her step-father Thaddeus Bugalski, and many nieces, nephews and greats thereof. She is also survived by Larry Boeckman, her best friend, who although not technically "relation" is a member of Marie's family in every way that counts.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her sister Terry Bugalski, and her brother Gary Bugalski.
Marie will be having a graveside service, with full military honors for family and friends. We are also planning to do a celebration of life, to be held after the holidays. Arrangements are still being finalized.
