Mary Jane Brownell, 72, Green Bay, passed away Sunday, September 4, 2022, surrounded by family. She was born January 3, 1950 in Mauston, WI, daughter to the late Charles and Arvilla (Kranz) Boesen. She graduated from Green Bay West High School, and received her Associate Degree from Silver Lake College. Mary married Bob Brownell in 1995.
She was a longtime employee at Kohl's. Mary enjoyed Civil War reenactments, reading, and volunteering at the Germantown Historical Society.
Survivors include her husband, Bob; 3 daughters: Kim (Bill) Zellner, Green Bay; Janet (Mark) Jepson, Abrams; and Beth (Nate) Buckmaster-Dulon, Hudson; step-daughter, Sasha Brownell; 8 grandchildren: Trever and Emily Zellner; Drew, Audi, and Hailee Jepson, Kendra (Martin) Rivera; Ella and Owen Buckmaster-Dulon; 2 great-grandchildren: Lilly and Gracie; one sister, Rita (Rex) Marx; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Nancy Thompson and Theresa Ito.
Family and friends may visit Malcore (West) Funeral Home, 1530 W. Mason, Green Bay, on Friday, September 9, 2022 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
