Mel Gherardini

Mel Gherardini, 78, Green Bay, passed away, Friday, December 23, 2016, at the Golden Living Center. Born in Waukegan, IL August 17, 1938, he is the son of the late Melford and Ellen Jane (Phillip) Gherardini. Mel served his country faithfully in the United States Air Force. He married Beverly Gherardini on April 6, 1958, in Waukegan, IL and she preceded him in death on May 23, 2011. Mel was very proud of the fact that all five of his boys faithfully served their country in the U.S. Air Force.
He is survived by his 5 sons, Mike and Leilani of Green Bay, Greg and Sandy of Wichita, KS, Philip and Sheila of Kerrville, TX, Mel and Cindy of Shelbyville, NC, and Glenn of Green Bay; 15 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Private services were held and Simply Cremation assisted the family.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Golden Living and Optum for all of their compassionate care.
