Michael Joseph Bellisle

May 15, 1954 — June 15, 2019

Michael Joseph Bellisle, formerly of Marinette, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 15, 2019 at the age of 65, at his residence in Green Bay following a long illness. Michael was born in Menominee, Michigan to the late James and Elizabeth (Cota) Bellisle. He graduated from Marinette High School in 1972, where he was active in student council and was an exceptional tennis player.

Early in his career, Michael was a hotel manager at various properties in both Marinette and Oshkosh, until he eventually settled into a more permanent role as a management information systems professional. Michael and his family resided in Marinette for many years, where he was involved in the community and coached baseball and softball, until his children grew older and the call of his adventurous spirit whisked him away to many different locales around the world. He was loved for his intelligence, affability, and sense of humor, and will be greatly missed.

Michael is survived by his children, Bryan (Gail) Bellisle of Deerfield, Illinois, Stacy (Troy) Heller of De Pere, Brett Bellisle of De Pere, and Joshua Bellisle of Lima, Peru; siblings Thomas (Patti) Bellisle of Green Bay, Denise (Michael) LaCombe and Donna (Greg) Bohan, both of Marinette; two grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Mary (Stephen) Olsen, and a nephew, Brian LaCombe.

Rest in peace Michael, knowing that you were loved and will remain in our hearts forever more.

A funeral Mass in memory of Michael will be held at 11:30 am on Saturday, June 29th, at Our Lady of Lourdes Church located at 2715 Taylor Street in Marinette, followed by interment at Forest Home Cemetery.
