Michael John Shea

Michael J. Shea, 74, De Pere, died peacefully at a local nursing home on November 26, 2017. Born on January 20, 1943, in Green Bay, he is the son of the late Francis and Genevieve (Voelker) Shea. Mike is a graduate of Green Bay East High School. He proudly served in the United States Marines from 1962 – 1965. On October 16, 1980, he married the former Susan Shampo in Green Bay. Mike enjoyed hunting at Buck Fever. He was a proud member of the Magneto Motorcycle Club. Most of all, Mike lived for Tuesdays with his friends in Dyckesville talking about cars, motorcycles, and the “good old days.”
Mike is survived by his loving wife, Susan, De Pere; one son, Christopher (Melissa) Shea, Allouez; three grandchildren, Kayleigh, Grace, and Ethan; one sister, Diane Denissen; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Susie.
A private family memorial service will be held this summer. Simply Cremation assisted the family with cremation services, 431-0100.
In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, a memorial fund has been established at Simply Cremation, 243 N. Broadway, Green Bay, WI 54303.
