Mildred Martin

Mildred Clarella Martin, age 93, passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at St. Paul’s assisted living in Kaukauna, WI where she was a resident. She was a long-time resident on a ranch in Newcastle, CA. She was born on August 5, 1921 in Eakly, OK to the late Frank and Alice (Odell) Klingler. On November 10, 1944, she married Aubrey D. Martin, the love of her life.
Mildred worked as a social worker for Placer County, CA prior to her retirement. She enjoyed supporting many of her husband’s passions but also pursued her own with sewing and machine embroidery.

Mildred is survived by four children, Peggy (Joe) Mueller in Wisconsin, Tom (Judy) Martin in Utah, Eula (Craig) Yancey in Wyoming, and Robert Martin in California; eleven grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson. Her husband, parents, a grandson and a great-grandson preceded her in death.

Cremation will take place and a memorial service is planned for August 1, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the United Methodist Church, Newcastle, CA.
