Jean Williams, 80, Pulaski, formerly of Green Bay, passed to her eternal rest on November 4, 2015. Born on April 11, 1935 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, she is the daughter of the late Richard and Pearl (Stanley) Johnson. Jean attended Green Bay West High School. On June 14, 1952, she married Richard H. Williams, Jr., and they divorced in December 1976. While raising her children, Jean served as a Brownie Troop Leader, and was also active in the PTA and at the school library. She also worked in the nursery at St. Mary's Hospital, as a CNA in the med-surge unit at St. Vincent Hospital, and Library Assistant and AV Tech until her retirement in 2001. Jean belonged to the VASA Lodge #754 and was the historian for four years.
Jean enjoyed bowling, golfing, and cross-country skiing. After retirement she kept busy baking, knitting, crocheting, and researching genealogy history for her family. For the last five years she knitted 100 hats each year and donated them to the Coats for Kids program.
Jean is survived by seven children, Georga Humphreys, Cynthia (Pat) Roberts, Rick (Doreen) Williams, Terry Williams, Wendy (Jim) Delvoye, Corrie (Crystal) Williams, and Lonnie (Peggy) Williams; one sister, Valrie Plog; 17 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
According to Jean’s wishes there will be no formal funeral services. Simply Cremation assisted the family with cremation, 431-0100.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Unity Hospice for the compassionate care and guidance that they provided to the family during Jean’s final journey. They would also like to thank her wonderful neighbors these past four years, for their love and friendship.
