Nancy (Landry) Jahnke, 75, Greenleaf, passed away early Saturday morning, June 4, 2016, at her home surrounded by her family. Born July 24, 1940, in Green Bay, she is the daughter of the late Alden and Jeanette (Bartzen) Landry. Nancy attended Preble High School. On June 2, 1958, she married the man she would spend the rest of her life with, Alton Jahnke. Nancy worked most of her adult life as a cook at what is now known as D & G Restaurant in Greenleaf. Most of all, Nancy enjoyed family time, cook outs, and playing cards (as long as she was winning).
Nancy is survived by the love of her life for 58 years, Alton; five daughters, Debra (Joe) Baril, Cynthia (Mike) Cleven, Karen Baker (special friend, Lee), Deana (Randy) Carter, and Laurie Janssen (special friend, Larry); one son, Jim (Kelly) Jahnke; 16 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren with two more on the way; one brother, Ed (Phyllis) Landry; a very special Aunt Ruth Ann; and many cousins.
She was preceded in death by a son, John; granddaughter, Jennifer; her parents; a sister, Yvonne; father and mother-in-law; and two brothers-in-law.
Visitation at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church, 1537 Day St., Greenleaf, Saturday from 12 noon until the time of the service. Memorial service 3pm Saturday at the church with Pastor J. C. Eggert officiating.
