Norbert Raymaker, 92, Green Bay, passed away July 31, 2017 at Grancare Nursing Center with his family at his bedside. He was born in Green Bay on January 5, 1925, son of Joseph and Sophie Raymaker.
Norbert always said the best day of his life was October 16, 1948, the day he married his wife LaVerne (Delloye). He served in the US Army during WWII. Norbert was a salesman and self employed business owner, Raymaker's Viking Sewing Center. His greatest joy in life was his family and faith in his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Survivors include wife LaVerne; son's Jim (Joanne), Steve; daughter, Debbie (Ron) Leakey; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; brother George (Joanie) Raymaker; brother-in-law, Marvin VanRite; sister-in-law, Joanne Raymaker.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Lawrence, Joseph and Harold; sisters, Joyce, Mary, Dorothy and Carol.
Norbert's family would like to thank Dr. Fenster, Lakeland Care, Angels on Humboldt and Grancare Nursing Center. During Norbert's illness the employees of Grancare became his extended family, showing much love and care for him. Per Norbert's request, there will be no visitation and no formal funeral. There will be a private memorial service for the immediate family.
