Patricia “Pat” R. Mac Donald, 93, Two Rivers, died peacefully at a Two Rivers hospital on May 19, 2015. Born on February 11, 1922, in Bristol, England, she is the daughter of the late Albert and Laura (Day) Pope. On June 1, 1945, she married Byron “Mac” H. Mac Donald in Bristol, England, and he preceded her in death on January 2, 1992. Pat held offices at the Alpha Senior Center and the Village of Alpha, Michigan for many years. She was also the founder of the Alpha Village Museum. Pat was a member of musical, and volunteered at the Medicare facility in Crystal Falls, Mich. She enjoyed spending time with family, playing cards and Bingo, and gardening.
She is survived by eight children, Geoffrey (Randee) Mac Donald, Mill Valley, CA, John (Deanna Nuncio) Mac Donald, Two Rivers, Byron (Sharon) Mac Donald, Norridge, IL, Gene (Donna) Mac Donald, Cheyenne, WY, Elizabeth Mac Donald, Two Rivers, Joan (Rick) Leist, Menasha, Antoinette Magestro, Two Rivers, and Christine Schwank, Two Rivers; 10 grandchildren, Max, Michael, Jonathan, Mia, Amy, Jason, Christopher (Renee), Laura, Nicholas, and Angela; and one sister, Sylvia Horlor, Bristol, England; one sister-in-law, Patricia Jewell; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; one sister, Yvonne; and one brother, Dick.
Visitation at Grace Congregational Church, 2801 Garfield Street, Two Rivers, Tuesday, May, 26th, from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 2:00 p.m. Simply Cremation in Green Bay assisted the family with cremation services, (920) 431-0100.
The family will hold a second memorial service in Crystal Falls, MI in July. Details will be announced at a later date.
