Patricia "Pat" Montagna

January 4, 1947 — January 5, 2022

Patricia “Pat” (Hurley) Montagna, 75, of Denmark WI, formally of Marquette MI, died peacefully January 5th, 2022.

She was born January 4, 1947 in Marquette, daughter of the late Catherine and Walter Hurley, and was a lifelong Michigan resident until moving recently to Wisconsin.

Pat worked in the Hospitality industry most of her life, but she considered the most important job of being a wife and friend to Darryl “Deets” Montagna. They married in Las Vegas, NV in 1982. Together they enjoyed traveling, Bingo, crafts, cooking, canning and gardening. He passed away in July of 2017. She missed him dearly, and now can be with him eternally.

Always full of spunk, and a great sense of humor, she tried to make the best of any situation. While her move wasn’t in the plans, she enjoyed her new family at Scandinavian Court Assisted Living and being closer to Barb, Eddie and Grandson Tomas. She was able to attend her first NFL football game, and it was the Green Bay Packers, at Lambeau Field. She said “now that is the way to watch a football game”.

Pat is survived by her children, Barb (Eddie) Berndt, Tina Hill, Darryl “Deeto” Montagna, Vicky (Greg) Heath, Tracy (David) Long, Stacy (Chris) Garrison; several Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren; a Brother Thomas Hurley, Marquette, and many nieces & nephews. She was proceeded in death by her loving husband, “Deets”, her parents, sisters Elizabeth Lavato and Julie Kincaid, and a brother George Lawless.

Honoring Pats wishes, there will be no service. She will be put to rest next to her husband in the Spring.

Special thanks to everyone at Scandinavian Court Assisted Living, the 4th & 7th Floor Nurses at St. Vincent Hospital, and our Family & Friends for their support.

Be kind to one another, and things WILL get better.

Simply Cremation of Green Bay is assisting the family.
