Patrick “Pat” Borzick age 71 of Green Bay passed away on Saturday, March 8, 2025 at home with his family. He was born in Waukegan, IL to Andrew and Mary (Flannigan) Borzick on March 2, 1954.
Pat attended Warren Township High School for two years and then moved with his parents to Green Bay to graduate from Green Bay Preble High School class of 1972. He was an accomplished wrestler, football and baseball player as well as weightlifter. He also graduated from the University of Wisconsin Green Bay with a Bachelor’s Degree in The Arts and Communication.
Not wanting to be a starving artist Pat worked at Wisconsin Public Service and Integrys Energy Group since he was a college kid until his retirement 30+ years later.
He was a very talented artist, especially with creating bronze sculptures which kept him taking graduate courses just so he could utilize the equipment in the sculpture studio to pour his bronzes. When he was no longer able to continue his art at UWGB he turned to woodworking for his artistic outlet by designing and making furniture and cabinetry.
He married Teresa “Terrie” Nooyen on September 12, 1981 at St James Church in Cooperstown. They bought their first house 6 months later so he became a jack of all trades homeowner teaching himself plumbing, electrical, plastering, etc. He eventually remodeled every room in the house adding skylights and vaulted ceilings only to start over redoing all the rooms again one by one.
He also started collecting vintage motorcycles which he spent many hours restoring and riding, teaching his son Drew to ride and taking his little dog Lucy in her puppy papoose with her Doggles for rides around town which caused many a turned head.
Pat is survived by his wife Terrie of 44 years, his son Drew of Green Bay and his dog Lucy. He is further survived by his sister Betty Falotico of Gurnee, IL; his brother Bill of Coloma, WI; his sister Geri (Bob) Sweetwood of Lindenhurst, IL; his twin brother Mike (special friend Jody) of Murphy, ID; his brother-in-law Dan (Julie) Nooyen of Amberg; sister-in-law Mary (Roland) Adams of Denmark; brother-in-law Barry Smetana of Green Bay and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother-in-law Joe Falotico, sister-in-law Pat Borzick, brother Don (Dorothy) Borzick, sister Mary Jane (Ron) Jaworek, infant sister Kathleen Borzick, great nephews Byron and Chris Borzick and Derek Manuel, his in-laws Erv and Jan Nooyen, brother-in-law Bill Nooyen, sister-in-law Ann Smetana.
Cremation has taken place. Pat requested not to have a service but a Celebration of Life will be held instead on June 14, 2025. Details will be forthcoming.
A special thank you from the family to Unity Hospice for all their compassionate care for Pat in his final days.
