Paul R. Roberts, 86, Ashwaubenon, peacefully passed away at home on Saturday morning, Feb. 5, 2022. Born January 9, 1936, in Beaver Dam, WI, he is the son of the late Arthur and Hannah Ceinwen (Jones) Roberts. Paul is a graduate of Beaver Dam High School, Class of '54. After graduation, he enlisted in the US Army and honorably served from October 1954 until September 1956 where he served in Germany. He then attended UW Whitewater, taking classes in business administration. Soon after, he was employed by the State of Wisconsin as a Credit Union Examiner from 1966 until his retirement in 1996. Paul was an avid Packer, Badger and Brewers fan, loved gardening and cooking, and enjoyed his gambling trips to Elko, NV. He always had a great sense of humor, loved telling jokes and stories and just being a little crazy. Mostly, he loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Paul is survived by five children, Mark (Vicki) Roberts, Lisa (Scott) VanDreel, Kari (Mark) Lively, Greg (Dawn) Collins, and Kelli Farvour; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one brother, Gordy Roberts; sister-in-law, Theresa Roberts; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
He was also preceded in death by brothers, Kenneth, Herbert and Howie; sisters, Shirley, Gwen, and Dilys; and close friend, Kay Peters.
Per Paul's wishes, there will be no formal services at this time. His cremated remains will be buried later this spring in Bethel Cemetery in Beaver Dam.
