Ralph Dennis Tharp (Rocky), 76, Little Suamico, Wis., formerly of Wallace, Mich., was called home to the lord March 19th, 2024, after a hard fought illness. Dennis was born January 13th,1948, to the late Ralph and Esther (Leanna) Tharp in Daggett, Mich.
Dennis married the love of his life, Victoria Brunette, in Crivitz, Wis., on Nov. 6th. 1971. He served two years in the United States Army in Germany. After his service, he worked for Kakuk Construction and Barley Excavating until the time of his retirement.
Dennis was an avid outdoorsman – he loved to fish, especially ice fishing, where he went on many excursions. He also enjoyed grouse and deer hunting and long treks in the woods behind his home. He was a known Gordon Lightfoot fanatic and always said he was his “brother from another mother.” More importantly he was a loving husband and father who loved his family.
He is survived in life by his loving wife Vicki, two children, Tracy Tharp Mulkey (Michael) of Little Suamico, and Dennis Tharp (Chanda) of Wallace. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Kelsey Tharp of Green Bay, Wis., Dominic Williams of Marinette, Wis., Marissa Tharp of Marinette, Aaron (Melissa) Mulkey of Green Bay, Sarah (Bob) Dietzen of Freedom, Wis., and Taylor Mulkey of De Pere, Wis. He is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren; 3 brothers, Calvin (Kathy) Tharp, Ron (Penny) Tharp, Jim (Linda) Tharp; sister, Diana Carriveau; brother-in-law, Jim Johnson and many nieces & nephews.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, sisters: Barb Krol (Henry), Bobbie Tharp, Judy Copeland (Don), Yvonne Johnson, and brothers: Louis Tharp and Gary Tharp.
A celebration of life will be held for Dennis at a later date.
