Richard Park

Richard Lynn Park, Manitowoc, WI, born August 20, 1938, passed peacefully after a short illness on Saturday, January 18, 2025. Richard taught for 37 years for the Manitowoc Public Schools. He dearly loved and proudly watched his eight grandchildren grow up, and he enjoyed attending their many and varied events. He was delighted to become a great grandfather. Richard was passionate about his music and played the drums in many bands throughout his life.

Richard is survived by his three girls: Jill and Paul Wilke, Jane and Peter Hein, and Molly and Daniel O’Connell, and their families. His love, Barbara (Burson) Park, his brother Harold Park, and a number of beloved relatives preceded him in death. 

Per Richard’s wishes, no visitation, memorial, or funeral will be held. Immediate family will gather for a private event at a later date.

The family wishes to express its most sincere thanks to the compassionate and professional staffs of Aurora Hospice and the Manitowoc County Aurora BayCare Medical third floor nursing and hospice staffs for helping dad pass safely, painlessly, peacefully, and with dignity.
