Richard A. "Dick" Patzke, 76, Crivitz, returned home to God, Saturday morning, December 10, 2022, at the Unity Hospice House. Born August 2, 1946, in Green Bay, he is the son of the late Myron and Margaret (Chapman) Patzke. Dick married Sue Van Caster, the love of his life, on March 11, 1967, in Green Bay. Dick was a gifted photographer and I.T. specialist. His employment took his family to various locations around the state. Dick worked for Aero Metric Engineering for over 30 years, retiring in 2012. The couple physically built their retirement home in the Crivitz area, starting in 1999 and making it their permanent home after Dick and Sue's retirement.
Dick enjoyed sailing, woodworking, but truly loved building his dream home. Dick had a wonderful sense of humor and loved helping out family and friends. Most of all he was a dedicated husband, dad, and grandpa.
Dick is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Sue; two amazing daughters, Richelle "Shelley" (Jeff) Kroening, Wausau and Jessica Hornsten, Skokie, IL; grandchildren, Elizabeth, Brady, Thomas and Matthew; siblings, Donald (Linda) Patzke, Barbara Meser and Nancy (Randy) Knapton; canine companion, Chase; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his mother and father-in-law; brother-in-law, Gregg Meser; and Sue's bothers, Robert and John "Jack" Van Caster.
There will be a private Celebration of Dick's Life at a future date.
Dick's family extends a special thank you to the caring staff of Unity Hospice. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, please make a contribution to Unity Hospice in Dick's memory.
