Robert Patrick "Bob" Connelly passed away quietly on October 26th in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
He was born June 7th, 1949 in Chicago to Claude Burton Connelly and Anna Susan Connelly, nee Andres. He grew up in Wildwood, Illinois and attended Warren Township High School. Robert was a Master Craftsman of custom staircases and was employed by Lake Shore Stair Company for several years before starting his own stair company. During the Vietnam era he joined the Army Reserves and was a member 1967-1971 and was honorably discharged with a medical from a carpentry accident in his employment. He was proceeded in death by his father and brother John Connelly.
He is survived by his three children born of his previous marriage to Bonnie Scheffler Griesbach; Scott Connelly of Seattle, Washington, Mark Connelly of Clinton, Iowa and Lisa Stodola of Two Rivers, Wisconsin, six grandchildren, his mother Ann Culver of Fairfield Bay, Arkansas and a brother Richard Connelly of Kelliher, Minnesota.
Those who knew Robert were impressed with his gifted carpentry skills, his sense of humor and adventure and his fearlessness in his youth with diving from heights, motorcycles and swimming. He will be interned at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, in Port Washington, Wisconsin near some of his ancestors who were the earliest settlers of the area.
A grave site service in remembrance of Robert's life will be set at a later date.
