Robert Konrad

Robert J. Konrad, 71, of Bear Creek, WI, our loving father, grandfather and brother passed away peacefully after a short illness, on Sunday, January 5, 2025. Bob was born in New London, WI on March 10, 1953 to James and Elaine (Wright) Konrad. Bob attended Neenah High School and served in the Army National Guard. The youngest of four children, and the only boy, Bob was a special addition to the family. Bob was a quiet, gentle soul who loved long haul truck driving. He crisscrossed the country many times from New York to California. His absolute favorite trips were the oversized loads he drove to the NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston. He was an avid Star Trek fan, so the space center was a wonderful connection for him. When Bob was home, spending time with his grandchildren was special. He especially liked spoiling them on birthdays and Christmas.

Bob is survived by his daughter, Jessica (Ray) Lankow of Bear Creek, James Konrad of Minneapolis, and three grandchildren, Jacob, Grace and Naomi Lankow of Bear Creek. He is survived by his sisters, Dianna Konrad of Bellingham, WA and Judy Konrad of Appleton. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents and his sister Sandra Konrad.

We will miss our dad, grandfather and brother who left us too soon. He was a special part of our lives. He will always have a place in our hearts. We will always miss him.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 24, at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, N3505 WI- 47, Appleton WI, 54913, with Pastors Schoell and Gartner officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks a donation be made in Bob’s name to St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church.
