Robert T. “Bob/Mongo” McKindles, 50 of Green Bay, died on January 24, 2017, at home with his family, after a 4+ year battle with lung cancer. Born on February 23, 1966, in Marquette, MI, he is the son of the late John and Evelyn (Cossette) McKindles. Bob attended Northern Michigan University. On August 3, 1996, he married the former Kathy O’Neill. Bob worked for the Oneida Tribe as an IT Support Specialist for 16 years. He was a passionate hockey fan. His favorite team was the Detroit Red Wings, and he worked as goal judge for the Green Bay Gamblers. He was an active Moose Lodge 801 member, where he ran the dart league. Bob also enjoyed playing in the pool league at the Watering Hole. He was a music enthusiast who liked playing drums and guitar.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Kathy, Green Bay; two children, Sean and Megan McKindles; three brothers, John (LuAnn) McKindles, Pat McKindles, and Tim McKindles (fiancée, Kathleen); three sisters, Kathleen Mallow, Colleen Snyder, and Marie (Steve) Haas; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers-in-law, Don Mallow, Ron Snyder; and nephew Randy Sheldon.
Gathering at the Watering Hole, 2107 Velp Ave., Saturday, February 4, 2017. There will be a prayer service at 3 p.m. followed by a celebration of Bob’s life. Simply Cremation assisted the family with cremation services.
