Robert Birch Vickery, born July 19, 1949, passed away on November 16, 2022, after a long battle with health issues.
Robert graduated from Premontre High School in 1967. After taking some courses at UW Green Bay and UW Oshkosh, Robert joined the United States Air Force. Once out of the Air Force, Robert stayed true to his roots. He loved working and living in Suamico.
He was known for his Kentucky Derby Parties which went on for 40 years, some huge and some small--but always fun and fun by all.
In 2007, he married his longtime love, Susan. They shared many adventures and together made a home that included good wine, friends, and large dogs.
Robert enjoyed all that northeastern Wisconsin offered--active in all seasons. Bob was a skiing enthusiast from a young age. He enjoyed photography, music, cycling, and above all--the Packers. Bob spent decades going to Packer games, loudly giving advise the Offensive Coordinator from Row 11. Robert was there in 1957 when City Stadium opened and also at the famed "Ice Bowl". He never missed a game for the next 60 years.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Phyllis Vickery; and his brother Jeff.
He is survived by Susan Vickery, Julie and Marc Ernest and Michael and Lisa Vickery, as well as his beloved friends--Harley, Riley, and Lola for forever loving.
While no services will be held at this time, a celebration of life will be held in the spring or summer. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Green Bay Campus of the Wisconsin Humane Society--an organization that exemplifies Bob's love of animals.
