Roger Robbins, 78, of De Pere, WI passed away on Saturday, September 28th after a 5-year battle with cancer. 

Roger was born in Sioux City, Iowa on June 2, 1946, to parents Laurence and Mae Doris (nee Palmer) Robbins. At age 13 they moved to Dickinson, North Dakota where he completed High School. His family moved to De Pere, WI in 1966 after he graduated. He married Jolayne (nee Wellens) Robbins on September 25, 1982 (divorced in 2004) and they had a son, Wayne, on January 15, 1984.

Roger enlisted in the Army, along with twin brother Robert, in November of 1966. He joined the 32nd air defense command in Kaiserslautern, Germany where he took advantage of his opportunities to travel through France and Spain. He returned in 1969 and eventually became an elevator inspector for the state of Wisconsin. Roger was an avid bowler and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and attending Packer games.

Roger is survived by his son Wayne (Ashley); his grandchildren Talon, Quinn, and Penelope; his twin brother, Robert (Sheryl) Robbins; his youngest brother, David (Debbie) Robbins; his nephews Robert, Carey, Shawn, Jason, and Andrew; and his nieces Tina, Stephanie, and Holly.

He is preceded in death by his parents; eldest brother, Loren Robbins; younger brother, Jon Robbins; and nephews Larry and Daniel.

The family would like to thank the VA, Aurora hospital, Unity Hospice, and all those that took time to visit Roger the last two months.

Roger's wish was to be cremated, and his remains held at the Central Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetary in King, WI alongside his older brother Loren. There will be a ceremony celebrating his life to be held at a later date, TBD.
