Ronald R. VanDenPlas

September 6, 1968 — September 21, 2022

Ronald R. VanDenPlas, age 54 died peacefully in the arms of his wife Jeni on September, 21st at a hospital in Green Bay, WI of complications from his battle with cancer.

Ron fought hard like he always did. Though cancer itself did not beat him, the effects cancer had on his body ultimately did. His wishes for our remembrance of him are to recall Ron as he was while he enjoyed his life pre-cancer. He placed the highest value on the time he was able to enjoy with his wife, family, and friends. Always vibrant (ok, possibly gruff, irritated, or opinionated), while enjoying a cigar in one hand and perhaps a glass in the other but always honest, loving, and deeply caring as all who spent time with him were lucky enough to witness. Ron was an organ donor, hoping that in his passing others might be able to benefit from his life. He was a Packer, Brewer, and Badger fan and was markedly a Boston Bruins fan. He was a lifelong fisherman and relished his annual deer hunting trips.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Betty VanDenPlas. His memory will be cherished and kept alive by his wife, Jeni VanDenPlas. Brothers and sisters; Deb Tahany (Kevin), Ray VanDenPlas (Sue), Jerry VanDenPlas (Jean), Ken VanDenPlas (Diane), Greg VanDenPlas (Mary), and Theresa VanDenPlas. Nieces and nephews; Christina Tahany, Rachel Kane (Kurt), Lindsey Hernandez (Chris), Sara Brown (Gary), Katie Johnson (Mike), Adam VanDenPlas (Amanda), Traci VanDenPlas, Sylvia VanDenPlas, Nick Basche (Ashley), and Kristin Basche (Mike). In-laws; Mother-in-law Julie Hansen, brothers-in-law Jeremy Hansen (Elena) and Joel Hansen (Susan). Nieces and nephews; Bryn Hansen, Abram Hansen, Maddie Hansen, and Colman Hansen.
