Rose Mary “Posy” Rohan, 92, Green Bay, formerly of Wausau, WI passed away peacefully July 10, 2017 with her family by her side. She was born September 15, 1924 in New London, WI and raised by Cora and Fred Schlintz in Appleton, WI. She graduated from Appleton West High School and attended Lawrence University in Appleton, WI. She married Benjamin Rohan, Jr., her high school sweetheart, on June 12, 1946.
Posy worked in the admitting office at Wausau Hospital for many years. After retirement she was active in many organizations in Wausau including the Antiques Club, YWCA, Episcopal Church, Golf League and especially volunteering at Aspirus Hospital. Posy was an accomplished knitter and golfer and loved spending time at the family cottage at Berry Lake in Wisconsin.
Posy was preceded in death by her husband Ben, her sister Mary Lou Schlintz and her twin half-brothers Clifford and Carlton Schlintz. She is survived by her children Barbara (Gerald Bublitz) Rohan, Sue (Mark Luker) Rohan, John (Tania Mantua) Rohan, Ginny (Scott Harris) Rohan, good friend Irene Bishop, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A private memorial service will take place at a later date. Simply Cremation is assisting the family with services, (920) 431-0100.
