Sandra Lee Jussila, 70, Green Bay, caught her last touchdown peacefully, early in the 3rd Quarter Feb. 9, 2016, just before dawn. Born on February 24, 1945, she is the daughter of the late George and Francis (Cumbers) Raleigh. Sandra graduated from Green Bay West High School in 1963. She enjoyed baking sweets for her teammates. Sandra was a team leader & enjoyed making people happy. Yeh, she had a few fumbles along the way but who doesn't? Being a strong woman of God, and a Pentecostal Preachers’ Wife, she never showed any signs of unsportsmanlike conduct or unnecessary roughness. Her plays were not reviewed or challenged. She even caught a few Hail Mary’s! Many of her teammates consider her the M.V.P.
Immediate family members who survived her include, De Bauche, Jussila, Raleigh, Rank, and O’Donnel.
A memorial service and celebration of her life will take place on February 24, 2016, 10:30 a.m. at Meadowbrook Church, 701 Hillcrest Heights, 10:30 a.m., with a pot luck to follow. Simply Cremation assisted the family with cremation services, 431-0100.
