Sandra (Sandy) La Blanc

July 10, 1953 — December 2, 2023

Sandra (Sandy) La Blanc, 70 years old from Green Bay, WI joined the love of her life on December 2nd, 2023 after a long battle with chronic illness.

Sandra Ann La Blanc was born on July 10th, 1953 in Kewaunee, WI to Calvin and Doris (Hildebrant) Lain. She attended Kewaunee High School. Sandra entered the work force right out of high school. She became a single mother at 19 years of age. She married in 1976 and had three children with her husband and later divorced on good terms. She found her love at a canning factory; they were together for over 15 years before he passed away in 2011.

She worked many jobs to support her family throughout her life and always made sure there was food on the table and a roof over their heads. She was very proud of being able to provide for her family on her own. Sandra especially loved working for Gen's Cafe, a family business.

She took custody of her granddaughter, Mariah Andrews, in 2000 and had raised her as her daughter. And in turn, Mariah cared for her grandmother as a daughter would during her long battle with her chronic illnesses.

She cared deeply for her family, friends and neighbors. She did this not out of obligation, but because of who she was. She was always the first to offer help. She was an avid Green Bay Packers Fan; she was known to hold Packer Parties and dress up for every game. She also loved to watch Hallmark channel, sew and crochet.

Sandra will always be remembered for her ability to bring the family together and the way that she was always willing to help. We will always imagine hearing her say "meet me outside to fight and if I'm not out there in 5 minutes start without her" one more time; always in jest to her son's. We couldn't of asked for a better mother, grandmother and friend; we will miss her every day. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all those who loved her.

Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, Calvin and Doris, her brother's William Lain and Scott Lain and the love of her life Eugene (Butch) Liebe. She is survived by her sister: Debi Starck; children: Kevin Lain, John Andrews, Jr, Brett Andrews and her estranged daughter; and her grandchildren: William Fuller, Kory Lain, Mariah Andrews, Sebastian Andrews, Zoe Andrews, Brock Bryda.

During Sandy's final days, she was surrounded by family including her three pets, Macy, Obi and Mittens. She had her final Thanksgiving Dinner with family and friends at her bedside and all she wanted to eat is pumpkin pie.

A special thank you goes out to Aurora at Home Health Care for supporting her at home especially her nurse Mattea and Aurora at Home Hospice for the support they provided during her end-of-life journey including her nurses Andrea and Kayla, her hospice social worker Tammy, her Chaplin David and her home health aide Morgan.

Per Sandy's wishes she does not want a funeral but a Celebration of Life. This Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, contact family after the holidays for a date time and place.
