Sara Melgar

Sara Jean Melgar, 42, Green Bay, WI, died peacefully in the presence of her husband and kids receiving God's blessing on December 31st 2023 at their home, after a courageous battle with cancer. 

Sara was born on August 1st 1981 in Green Bay WI, and graduated from Ashwaubenon High School. 

Sara attended college at the University of WI Green Bay with a bachelor degree in Education with a specialty in Spanish and a Master degree from Marian College in Educational Technology. 

She worked at the school District of Sheboygan falls and East De Pere High School. 

Sara is survived  by her husband, children, mom and family. 

The time Sara spent as a Spanish teacher was a teacher who did her job with love and dedication to what she was passionate about.   As a mother, Sara was always a loving mother, who gave everything for her children: Quetzy, Tiago and Vivian, whom she loved with all her heart.  Sara had a happy marriage of 19 years with Yair Melgar, in which communication, love and mutual support were the basis of her happiness.  She loved spending time with her family, traveling to see different places and going on walks.  She loved to play board games with her children and wrote notes every day to each of them.  Sara had great faith in God and was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church, Green Bay.  Rest in peace my sweetheart in the company of God. We will love you forever.

Memorial Gathering at St. Mark Lutheran Church 1167 Kenwood St. Green Bay, WI 54304.  Monday, January 8, 2024, with visitation from 4-6 pm. Followed by memorial service, 6pm, at the Church.
