Scott Allen LaCrosse

March 9, 1965 — December 30, 2024

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Scott LaCrosse on December 30, 2024. Scott was born in Sturgeon Bay, WI, on March 9, 1965 to the late Marvin and Hazel (Braley) LaCrosse. He loved camping and fishing adventures with family, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was a proud Sturgeon Bay Clipper, graduating with the class of 1983. On June 10, 2000, Scott was united in marriage to Christine Marie Becker, the absolute love of his life, and felt so lucky and blessed to gain his beautiful step daughter, Nicole, whom he dearly loved and cherished.

Scott loved adventure and had a variety of hobbies. He enjoyed entering tractor pulls with his vintage tractor and showing off his restored Camaro at local car shows. Taking road trips up to the Soo Locks was a life long passion, and he was very well versed in family genealogy related to his Belgian heritage, Door County history, and anything that was connected to the lore of Great Lakes freighters, particularly the Edmund Fitzgerald. Scott and Christine also loved Christmas. Every year they would dress as Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus to spread holiday cheer to friends and family.

He is survived by his precious stepdaughter, Nicole Delveaux; his brother, Fuzz (Nancy); sister-in-law, Cindy (Tom); nephews, Zak, Levon (Breann), and Tyler; his great niece, Hadley; several cousins; father-in-law, Charlie (Susie) Becker; in-laws, Dan (Jennie) Becker, David Becker, Cheryl Becker; his best friend, Mark (Cyndi) Hilsabeck, and Joe Jennerjohn. Scott was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Christine; his parents; his brother, Larry; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Honoring Scott's wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral. Nicole is planning a Celebration of Scott's Life, and will post details on her Facebook page when plans are set. Memorials in his name can be directed to Door Cancer, Unity Hospice, or the Door County Humane Society.

We want to give a heartfelt thanks and gratitude for all the loving care Scott received in the course of his illness. Special recognition goes out to Door County Medical Center's Dr. Board and Chaplin John Hauser, HSHS St. Mary's and St. Vincent Hospitals, Dr. Jaslowski at Green Bay Oncology, the DaVita dialysis center staff, Waterfall Health Services in Algoma, and especially to the staff at the Jack and Engrid Meng Unity Hospice residence, and Simply Cremation. Scott and his family so appreciate all the care, kindness, and compassion shown throughout his journey. It will not be forgotten.
