Scott Andrew Slapp, 55, Green Bay, formerly of Escanaba, passed away at a Green Bay hospital, Wed. April 29, 2015, following complications of a long-term illness. Born Jan. 15, 1960, in Escanaba, he is the son of Sharon (Barnhart) Slapp and the late John Slapp. Scott was a 1978 graduate of Bark River-Harris High School. He was a life-long cross-country truck driver. Scott was an excellent cook and won awards for his chili recipe.
Scott is survived by his mother, Sharon, Mountain Home, AR; sisters, Jillian Jamison, Escanaba, Ann Anthony, Battle Creek, Gwen McNew, Green Bay, and Megg (Ted) Spieker, Western Grove, AR; brother, Todd (Susan) Slapp, Green Bay; two children; two grandsons; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, John; infant brother, Jonn; maternal grandparents, Burl “Barney” and Lucille “Lu” Barnhart, Escanaba; and paternal grandparents, Dudley and Pearl Slapp, Iron River.
It was Scott’s wishes that there be no visitation. A private service will be held at a later date.
