It is with hearts both heavy and light that we announce the peaceful passing of Sharon Lee Tate, who, at the age of 82, traded her gardening gloves for angel wings. She was a beloved grandmother, mother, and friend whose legacy is as colorful as her cross-stitch creations.
Born in 1942, Sharon, was a woman of simple pleasures: a perfectly tended garden, a needle and thread, and, of course, her faithful canine companion, Pixie. She worked as a bible school teacher in her earlier years and transitioned to being a service desk manager at Kohls before she retired. After retirement she enjoyed spending time with family and friends playing dominoes, watching the Packers and sitting on her deck at Buck-N-Half Ranch watching the deer in her backyard. and of course having an Old Fashioned Cocktail sitting around a bonfire.
She was known for her green thumb, and her yard was a blooming masterpiece of flowers, and the occasional rogue weed, she handled with the precision of Brett Favre’s passes (in his prime, of course—don’t get her started on the later years). She had a unique gift for making those around her laugh, often with a dry wit that would sneak up on you.
In her final days, she made it clear that while she may be leaving us in person, she would always remain in our hearts in spirit. While we will miss her dearly, we take comfort in knowing that she’s up there, hands in the soil of a garden far grander than any she could’ve imagined here.
She was preceded in death by her son, Thomas James Frederick (Sandy).
She is survived by her son Mike Frederick (Joni), daughter Kathryn Blohowiak (Ron), 6 loving grandchildren, Spencer Blohowiak (Estela) Sidnee Lykins (Brandt) Josh Frederick (Stephanie) Amanda Frederick, Cooper Frederick, Autumn Frederick, special friends Julie and Brian Longtin, Ace and Carol and Jean Enderby and former spouse Thomas Frederick.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you plant something in her honor. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
