“What a Long Strange Trip It’s Been.”
I was born in 1947 in Antigo, Wi. I lived a semi-normal childhood, along with my sister Cathy, and my brother Douglas, being raised by my loving parents Charles and Marjorie. I graduated from Southwest High School in 1965 with the dubious honor of being voted the captain of the 0-13 basketball team. I then enlisted in the Air Force, traveling to Japan, Thailand, and Colorado. I returned home, began college, and played in a couple of bad rock bands. I was married and divorced twice. I was a salesman, electrician, plasterer, assembler, copy repairman, and building maintenance handyman. But the best job I ever had was being the father to my two beautiful daughters Nicole and Andrea. They taught me what love was all about. I want to thank everyone I knew for being in my life and sharing themselves with me. As there will be no memorial service for me, (I’ve been to too many and do not wish for the few that would attend to get depressed at my passing) I ask that those of you who knew me to dedicate a drink in my memory. Good or bad, happy or sad. Keep on truckin’… Steve
