Steve Van De Hei

Steve Van De Hei, 63, passed away Thursday, January 25th 2024 surrounded by loved ones in his home after being defeated in a long battle against cancer. He was born on July 24th, 1960 in Green Bay, WI to the late Clarence and Helen (Heezen) Van De Hei. Steve worked for many years with wonderful people at WSW and McDonald Warehouse Companies. He enjoyed spending quality time with family and friends, hosting epic Booyah parties.

Steve will be greatly missed by many friends and family members including his children Jim Van De Hei, Jenna (Kenny Cattani) Zimdars, and Jessie (Marshall) Nooyen; partner of 18 years Wendy Kuske; “Step-daughter” Missy Kuske; grandchildren Alder Van De Hei, Eleanor Zimdars, Tucker and Tanner Nooyen; mother of his children Sharon Van De Hei; as well as his six surviving siblings Betty (Dick) Freitag, Terry (Daryl) Hoefs, Bill (Maggie) Van De Hei, Jerry (Sue) Van De Hei, Tom Van De Hei, Mary Stahl; sister-in-laws Kathy Van De Hei and Jackie Van De Hei. along with many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers Joe, Don and Glen Van De Hei.

 A celebration of life will be held in the spring after the thaw and lettering of the family monument located in Allouez Catholic Cemetery. 

The family extends a special thank you to his god-mother Sister Pat VanDenBergh, coworkers from WSW and McDonald Companies for all the assistance and generosity over the years. Without the loving care provided by Wendy Kuske, Jenna Zimdars, and his nurses from Unity Hospice his wishes to remain in his custom built home of over 25 years would not have been possible.
