Sylvia Zahorik

Sylvia (Genrich) Zahorik, 86, of Green Bay died peacefully at home on January 6, 2025. Born on January 30, 1938, in Merrill, WI, she is the daughter of the late Herman and Hazel Genrich. She married Bill Zahorik on September 5, 1959, in Tisch Mills, WI, and they have enjoyed sixty five years of marriage. She graduated from Mishicot High School class of 56'. She was an avid Packer, Brewers, and Badger Fan. Sylvia and Bill enjoyed their retirement up north in Wausaukee for many years. Sylvia and Bill were members of St Peter's Lutheran church in Mishicot. Sylvia loved spending time with her family, gardening, playing cards, board games, puzzles, and bowling. 

She is survived by her husband, Bill; three children, Annette (Victor) Hansen, Doug (Lisa) Zahorik, and Wendy (Cal) Shaw; four grandchildren, Kimberly (Matt) Beyersdorf, Randy (Andrea) Zahorik, Jenna (Nate) Ihssen, Tony (Ariel) Craney; great grandchildren, Isabel, Sophie, Isaac, Maycie, Esmay, Raelyn, Winnie, Wilder, Axel, Ila, and McKenna; siblings, Betty Thomason, Patty Pribek, Ramona Marcelle, Mary (Arlyn) Clarksen, Bob Genrich, and Mike Genrich; sisters in law, Marilyn Zahorik, and Gerry (Ruth) Griffe; many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her son, David Zahorik; parents; siblings, James Genrich, Delores Diels, Ronnie Genrich, Gene Genrich, and Bill Genrich; brothers in law, Arthur Pribek, Randy Thomason, Wayne Marcelle, Gilbert Zahorik, and Fred Stueck; sisters in law, Joyce Genrich, Janet Stueck, Marjorie Zahorik. 

Visitation at Messiah Lutheran, 3186 Eaton Rd, Thursday January 16, from 10 AM until the time of the service at 11 AM. 

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.
