Thomas Prefountain

Thomas Prefountain, 88, of Green Bay, and formerly of Marinette, passed away December 29, 2015. Born on April 25, 1927, he is the son of Lawrence and Barbara Prefountain. Tom served our country in the United States Navy during WWII. He was an over the road truck driver for over 30 years for Clairmont Transfer. Tom married the former Murine (Sartori) Schinderle October 5, 1968, in Iron Mountain MI. He retired to Middle Inlet, Wisconsin on Lake Noquebay in 1984 and to the Arbors Mobile Home Park in Osprey, Florida in 1997. Tom was an avid fisherman, hunter, a great bike rider, and traveled to almost all 50 states.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Murine; two step-daughters, Karen Schinderle of Los Angeles CA, Sherry (Norm) Kranz of Green Bay; four sons from a previous marriage, Dan, David, Steven, and John ; daughter-in-law, Joan (Brian) Lehto; 6 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; two sisters, Carol Brenner, and Pat J. Johnson.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents; step-son , Marty Schinderle; three brothers, Lawrence, Danny, and Jerry Prefountain and sister, Ruth Rupert.
