Todd John Schmeling

Todd John Schmeling, 70, Kewaunee, formerly of Green Bay, died peacefully at a local hospital on Wednesday, October 14, 2015. Born on July 10, 1945, he is the son of the late Roy and Edna (Jueds) Schmeling. On August 21, 1967, he married the former Barbara Jean Williquette at Resurrection Lutheran Church in Green Bay. Todd is a 1963 graduate of Green Bay West High School and the University of Wisconsin Law School, Cum Laude. Todd served in the United States Army from 1968-1970. He was a founding partner at Nelson and Schmeling Law Firm in Green Bay, where he practiced for over 30 years. Todd enjoyed watching Packer games with his son-in-law Jerry, fishing, scuba diving, and boating. He was also an amateur radio operator. Todd loved summers in Wisconsin and winters in Okeechobee, FL, while traveling in his RV.

Todd is survived by two children, Kirsten (Jerry) Mellenberger, Kewaunee, and Karl (Jena) Schmeling, Green Bay; two grandchildren, Carter and Grady Schmeling.

He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; and one brother, Roger Schmeling.

Per Todd’s wishes, there will be no formal funeral services. Simply Cremation is assisting the family with cremation services. Burial in Carlton Community Cemetery.
