Thomas D. Huettl, 51, Howard, passed away, Tuesday morning, March 16, 2021, at home while surrounded by his family. Born Sept. 23, 1969, in Appleton, he is the son of Darwin “King” and Helen (Freiberg) Huettl. Tom is a graduate of Wabeno High School. He met his future wife, Marlene Lambert while at a softball tournament. They wed on August 13, 1993, in Green Bay and soon the couple started their family, first with the birth of Hailey and later, Brandon. His children were the pride of Tom’s life. Tom enjoyed his many years as a Master Plumber, and most recently served as an Account Manager with Mid-State Supply.
Tom will be remembered for his enjoyment of family vacations in Wisconsin Dells every summer. He enjoyed hunting trips, snowmobiling, golfing and playing softball. Tom found great joy watching Hailey and Brandon at various sporting events as well.
Tom is survived by his wife of 27 years, Marlene; two children, Hailey (boyfriend, Kolton Goslinowski) and Brandon, both at home; his parents, King and Helen Huettl; sister, Tammy Huettl; brother, Timothy Huettl; brother-in-law, Duwayne “Buck” Newbury; nieces and nephews, Valerie (Josh) Fieber, Stephanie (Jeff) Andersen, Ryan (Megan) Huettl, Tyler (Brianna) Huettl, Abby Huettl, Faith Blondeau, and Jayden Blondeau; numerous great-nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles; and Tom’s many Godchildren.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Aaron and Dorothy Huettl; maternal grandparents, Edgar and Dolores Freiberg; uncles and aunts, Aaron ”Fuzzy” (Regina “Reggie”) Huettl, Donna Huettl, Carol Freiberg, Linda Green, and Rick Doemel; mother and father-in-law, Norbert and Patricia Lambert; brother-in-law, Joseph Lambert; and sister-in-law, Lynn Newbury.
Visitation will be at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church, 514 S. Clay Street, Green Bay, Thursday, March 25, 2021 from 9:00 am until the time of the service. Memorial service 2:00 pm Thursday at the church with Pastor Jon Zabell officiating.
Tom’s family extends a special thank you to his best friends, Dan (Dana) Ehlers, “Rocky” (Darren) Giese, Tom (Traci) Haberstein, Brenda (Stuart) Spaude, Mike (Glenda) Huettl and many other friends for all the good times, laughter and shenanigans throughout the years.
