Valery A. Fiala, 76, Green Bay, passed away peacefully, Saturday, March 19, 2016, with family by her side. Born Dec. 2, 1939, in Green Bay, she is the daughter of the late William “Bucky” and Ada (Jones) Wennesheimer. Valery was a beautiful woman inside and out. Anyone that had been blessed to have known her would agree-“Heart of gold”.
Valery married Kenneth N. Sauer on February 28, 1959, and had four children and lived the “Navy-life” in California. After 20 yrs of marriage, the couple decided to move back to Wisconsin and shortly thereafter, ended their marriage. She then met John Fiala and they married on January 31, 1976, and together had a son. John preceded her in death October 7, 2015.
Valery served as a manager at local gas stations. After retiring, John and Val traveled around the country camping with family and friends. She was a very "social" individual. Valery will be deeply missed by all whom she has touched.
Valery is survived by her children, Steve (Darcy) Sauer, Ken Sauer, Kara (Todd) Sederstrom, Kim VanLanen, and JC ( Sarah) Fiala; grandkids, Kiley & Leah VanLanen. Hunter Hulbert, Angel Buck; brothers, Thomas Wennesheimer and Dennis (MaryJo) Wennesheimer; and many sisters and brothers-in-law.
Valery was preceded in death by her husband, John; parents, “Bucky” & Ada Wennesheimer; brother, George Wennesheimer; sister, Sandy (Les) Walker; along with in-laws, John and Ruby Fiala.
Visitation at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 2771 Oakwood Drive, Wed., March 23rd, from 9:30am until the time of the mass. Memorial Mass, 11am Wed. at the church with Rev. Paul Demuth officiating. Inurnment at Fort Howard Memorial Park. Simply Cremation is serving the family.
